We’ll get going by focusing on these cities:
- Vancouver
- Surrey
- Burnaby
- Richmond
- Abbotsford
- Coquitlam
- Kelowna
- Kamloops
- Nanaimo
- Victoria
Are you the best window company in your town? We may be looking for you, details here.
Once we have all of that information compiled we’ll publish it here. Until then, we know you’re looking for great replacement window information right now and we have plenty of that!
There are a few pages on our site that get a lot more traffic than the rest. I’d suggest starting your search with our start here page. On that page we’ve tried to give some worthwhile advise on the best ways to get your project started on the right foot.
Before you’ve decided which local companies to meet with I’d suggest taking a look through our window sales tactics page. It will give you a good idea of the strategies some companies may use to try to separate you from your money.
Once you’ve decided which local companies to meet and received some quotes you might want to peruse our replacement window reviews. We’re adding new info to this section all the time and you have any feedback please feel free to post a comment anywhere.
We hope all of this information helps you and there is an important way you can help as well. As you’re meeting with companies, looking at samples and getting quotes you’re collecting a TON of great information on the window business in your local area.
Feel free to post any information you’ve received in an effort to add a little transparency to the whole industry. Things like which companies you met with, how they interacted with you, which products they offered, how the pricing looked and how you felt about the end result are all extremely helpful to everyone else coming behind you.
Don’t be shy, post a comment about your experience!
Thanks for coming by and we hope you’ve found the site to be helpful. For more info feel free to take a look through our detailed replacement window reviews right here.
Would love to hear more about recommendations for BC, though I suspect your trip has been impacted as a result of the recent pandemic.
We recently received two quotes. One for vinyl windows through a local company which was all done online/over the phone. If we proceeded with the order, a worker would come to the home to do precise measurements. Not being satisfied with one quote, I decided to get another and contacted Renewal by Andersen. Big mistake. They took up two hours of my afternoon while I tried to wrangle two young children who were screaming. I was expecting some measurements and a quote, not to have to clear out my living room which is a total mess for a 2 hour sales pitch. The cost was over double the cost to replace ALL of the windows in my house with vinyl for just 7 windows. Ridiculous!! The suggestion that we needed to buy today to secure pricing had me so uneasy. I even said at one point, “oh, so this is like a timeshare?”. They asked me how long I would need to speak with my husband about the purchase and said they would go sit in their car while we talked it over… They left all of their stuff in my living room so they had to come back in. I wanted to just throw their crap on the street and shut my doors. It was awful. At one point if felt like they were suggesting that I’d be making a stupid investment or putting my home at risk by purchasing vinyl windows. Geez, no wonder 94% of their customers buy on the first day (they bragged about this)… Because anyone who waits is going to do their research and find out they are full of s**t.
I am so angry… that is how I stumbled onto your site… I can list off the sales tactics from your list that they used.
Ha, glad we could help out!
