    Hello
I just contacted Jeff at Taylor Rae Construction after reading all of your great comments for him but just so you know–he will not service the Woodbridge area… I am so disappointed 🙁

    1. thewindowdog says:

I’m sorry about that. It can be difficult for a company to travel too far. They want to keep up their level of quality and too much during time can make it difficult. Unfortunately I don’t know anyone else in the Woodbridge area to recommend. Maybe someone else will chime in with a suggestion.

    2. Hello Karen,

I am looking to replace my windows and came across your review about Taylor Rae not available for Woodbridge area. Thank you for sharing the info so I don’t have to go down that path.

Were you able to find someone you would recommend?

      Thanks,
      Wanda

  2. I guess I’ll never get to find out just how great they are or how they’ll “surely be able to help,” since I live in an apartment and they just told me they only do houses. You might want to note that in your glowing review. Sounded like a nice guy, though.

Hi Chris, every company isn’t the right fit for every person. Good luck with your project.

    Hello,

I just wanted to see if I could get your input or some estimates I received. I’m looking to replace 9 double hung windows and 1 picture window. What do you think about the prices I was quoted below? I also plan on reaching out to Taylor Rae.

    1. Anderson 200 series: $11,184
    2. Anderson 400 series: $14,545
    3. Simonton 6500: $7820
    4. Wincore 5400: $9,579
    5. Wincore 7700: $10,984

Hi Stephen, I think you’ll like the option from Taylor Rae better. The options you listed there aren’t going to be the best solution in a lot of cases.

  4. Hi,

I appreciate this website and all of the helpful information and reviews.

I plan to purchase 46 vinyl replacement windows for a 6 unit multi-family dwelling in NJ that was originally built in the 1890s and was converted to apartments in the late 70s, when the existing windows were installed. Since this is a rental property that we may sell within 5 years I want a reasonably priced window and I’ve been looking at windows in the $200 to $250 price range. Some brands I am considering are Provia Aspect or Ecolite(their lower end suggested for new multi-family), Ideal and Anderson 100 series. I am open to suggestions, other brands I should consider, and any reviews on the above-mentioned brands.

    Thank you,
    CC
