Window Dog, thank you for all the good info you’ve been pumping out, I’m glad I found your site.
I am in the market for windows and have received a handful of quotes here in Richmond, VA
Two companies that stand out are Fairway Windows and BNW Builders, and I’m curious if you have any input on these.
Fairway uses Sprouse windows, has very low prices, and my co-worker used them last year and she loves her windows. My apprehension is they seem like a two man operation run out of a garage. Phone calls go to personal cell phones and they don’t have a storefront, but they are about half the price of bigger guys and they pleased my co-worker.
BNW Builders are a local powerhouse that produces very high quality work. They are expensive, but have financing available. I don’t think I could get any better service around here, the down side is the cost and that they use Kensington windows which have a shaky history.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, as well as other recommended companies to check out in this area.
Thanks Window Dog!
I just got a quote from BNW yesterday and they quoted me on Marvin Windows. The price was good but my research on Marvin’s fiberglass windows doesn’t seem as strong as I was told by salesman.
