Editorial Policy

In an effort to provide real info to folks considering a replacement window and door project we work hard to produce the best content possible.  As the traffic to the site has grown considerably since we started we now commonly see feedback from folks about many products and companies.

This info is incredibly valuable and we hope it is helpful to other folks considering a replacement window or door project.  We do moderate the comments for accuracy and to avoid advertising or self promotion.

We receive a substantial amount of comments that contain significant grammatical or factual errors.  It’s just too much work for us to respond to each one stating the correct info so we will often delete a comment that is either difficult to understand or just plain wrong.  We don’t want to leave comments that are just plain wrong as that would do a disservice to our readers. We’re left with no choice.

We also commonly receive comments (often several a day) from other window companies trying to promote their products and services.  We will likely delete these posts as this is not an advertising medium.  If the post is written by a window company and is helpful or interesting we will approve it, but we will remove the company name.

We are not in the business of censoring posts to remove feedback from customers about their experience with one company or another.  If you are a window company who has received less than stellar feedback on the site please don’t ask us to remove it.  We just don’t have the time.  The point of the site is to provide real info in the most transparent way we can.

We thank each and every one of you for coming by and we hope you enjoy the site.  Please do let us know if you have any suggestions as to how we could improve!
