Update: In 2020 Amerimax windows was purchased by Cascade windows. It looks like this is another example of a small manufacturer being unable to continue as an independent enterprise.

Thank you for the info on this site. We’re in Colorado and looking at Amerimax vinyl replacements in our 1994 home. The window company (along with other Amerimax dealers) offer an exterior paint (on vinyl) called Americoat. Can you tell me anything about this coating on vinyl? And, any opinion on Amerimax quality and the air infiltration?
Hi Sonya, what would you like to know about the Americoat paint from Amerimax windows? I’d suggest starting by looking at the warranty on the finish, this can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The salesperson should also be able to tell you the air infiltration for the window model and sizes they’re proposing. Each window model and style will have different air infiltration ratings.
