Is the Vinyl Kraft warranty and good?

Like with most small window manufacturers the warranty on the Vinyl Kraft windows is pretty good. It’s a lifetime warranty on the vinyl frames and the insulated glass. The insulated glass warranty is prorated after 20 years which is something you don’t get from many companies.

There is no labor coverage at all in this warranty. That means if something breaks just a few days after it was installed there would be no warranty coverage on the installation of the replacement part. Your dealer might install something like that for you but they have no obligation to do it for free.

There is a glass breakage warranty but it’s only for 5 yentas.

Overall the warranty is decent. It’s not the best window warranty you’ll see out there. It is also offered by a relatively small manufacturer which means it’s only good as long as they continue to exist. If Vinyl Kraft goes away so does your window warranty.

What are the good features of Vinyl Kraft windows?

Well, they offer higher end block and tackle balances on some of their windows and that’s a nice feature. They also offer super spacer between the panes of glass which is a solid feature.

None of these are particularly unique which is the case with most of these smaller window manufacturers. They’re all pulling parts out of the same buckets so there’s nothing special about them.

I hate to pick on someone but the Vinyl Kraft website also leaves a lot to be desired. They don’t even have professional photography on the site. It’s full of pictures that someone probably took with their phone and graphics scanned from a brochure.

It’s strange look for a window manufacturer. Professional photographers are very inexpensive and the results would look much better.

What’s the bottom line?

Vinyl Kraft is a little manufacturer which comes with significant risks. It’s also harder for small manufacturers to design and develop innovative products because they don’t have a huge engineering department.
