this is a question almost all complaints from customers about window failure seems to be installation ok so what is the correct way to measure an opening for a replacement ,wwhy do so many installers screw this part up it is an opening ,you have a measuring tape isit 1/8 less than opening 1/4 less or exact the shortest point hieght or width is usaually wrong , is it that installers do not use weather stripping corectly is it window not installed squarely , i ask because i have been a construction project inspector for state of rhode island bridge and road projects .I am tough on contractors installing materials and i will be inspecting installation of windows
