If you’re looking for the best replacement windows in Florida you’ve come to the right place. Like almost everyone else in the free world my grandparents lived in Florida and I love the Sunshine State.
Speaking as someone from Chicago I can tell you it never gets really cold down your way, but it does get a little chilly in the winter. You’ll want windows that are designed for your specific climate.
In addition to windows that are energy efficient many folks in your neck of the woods are also considering impact windows for protection from hurricanes and strong tropical storms.
There are several specific factors you’ll want to consider when looking for the best replacement windows in Florida.

What are the best replacement windows in Florida?
The best windows for your project will depend on a few factors. Do you need impact windows for hurricane protection? Do you want windows efficient enough to qualify for federal tax credits? Are you looking for something with a lifetime warranty? These are the type of questions that a great window company will be able to help with.
There isn’t one right answer and there isn’t one best replacement window in Florida, but there are many great options available.
Vinyl, composite, aluminum or fiberglass windows in Florida?
Despite what some window salespeople may claim, any high quality window will perform well in Florida and other high-sun environments.
We have heard stories about commission based window salespeople selling fiberglass or composite windows telling customers that vinyl windows will warp or fail in the high-sun area. That’s just not based in reality.
Vinyl windows have been successfully used in high-sun areas for decades. Fiberglass and composite windows do also have their place. They can be very pretty and some people would rather pay more for that look. Most other people pick vinyl windows. As a result vinyl is the most popular window type by a wide margin.

Who are the best window companies in the Daytona Beach area?
Unfortunately I don’t know anyone to recommend in the Daytona Beach area. When or if we do find someone great we’ll update this page.
Which company can I Buy the best windows at to install myself I’m from Chicago area and use to install doors and windows but live in pace Florida now and can’t find good windows to sale to the public and I don’t want Home Depot or Lowe’s windows I’m actually looking for conservative windows
Hi Paul, thanks for writing in. I don’t know a great option for DIY windows in Florida. My company offers windows without installation in many areas, but we’re not currently offering anything in Florida. Maybe someone else will chime in with an option.
Do you have any recommended companies in Southwest Florida? Port Charlotte, Fort Myers, Venice, Englewood areas. WE are looking for hurricane impact windows for our home.
Hi. Can you recommend anyone in Florida at all?
wish I knew someone in FL to recommend because we get a lot of inquiries. If you find anyone great let us know. You can use the Home Advisor form we have and offer feedback on those companies too. That’s the best I have right now.
We’ll add companies to this section as soon as we find them.
Good afternoon- I’m about to make a decision on buying 17 windows to replace 18 of my old Jalousie windows in my Leesburg, FL home. I’ve gotten quotes from Renewal by Anderson (for their FiberX; everyone else was Vinyl), Lowe’s & Home Depot, a (relatively) “local” company called Morgan Exteriors, and Window World. My local RoMac supply store also has a window install company near me, so they’re coming this week.
Given that I anticipate selling within the next 1-2 years, I’m not the most concerned with buying high end windows, but rather RoI, however, I still want to leave my home in a good position. Unfortunately, when dealing with all these salespeople who don’t provide full details on models, and mid-range window options, there are still a number of questions.
Their quotes were as follows: Renewal ~$32,000; Morgan ~$16,500; Home Depot ~$15,000; Lowe’s ~$12,000, & W.W. ~$9,400. Each of these quotes include all their current “specials,” such as the Covid-19 themed “appointment saver discount,” due to having only a couple sales people working, & their schedules being overbooked.
I really like the pitch given by Morgan Exteriors, the fact that they’re privately owned, claim to have in-house installers, have a reasonable warranty, and their claims of being highly rated by this or that organization, but the Covid-19 discount gave me pause(even though they didn’t hold fast to it), and the fact that they price-matched the Lowe’s quote after a couple days of consideration, removing 1/4 of the original asking price in an instant.
Have you heard anything of Morgan Exteriors beyond what my generic review-hunting expeditions can dig up?
& Is buying lower-midrange windows (such as the Pella 250 model from Lowe’s) worth the extra $2,600 (or more, if I can talk W.W. down at all) I’d spend over the Window World “4000” tier window, with their quite reasonable warranty, & average reviews on installs in Central Fla? Or are these types of windows similar enough to W.W.’s that your average buyer isn’t going to pay a dollar more for them? Thanks much!
There are no trustworthy, honest quality professional window companies in Florida. Everyone is a crook!
Ha, there must be one somewhere. Let us know if you find them!
We compared five different window companies and their product offerings and went with New South Windows. When looking at warranty, reviews, product quality, energy efficiency, etc. we were convinced they had the best product for the money. This is our forever home and we weren’t looking for “cheap” windows. Another nice feature is noise reduction. Very happy with that as well. I would highly recommend looking at New South and comparing their product offering against anyone else in Florida.
