If you’re looking for NT Windows reviews you’ve come to the right place. NT windows are made in North Texas and distributed in the surrounding area. While they do have distribution outside of Texas we hear about NT windows primarily from homeowners in the Lone Star State.
Our NT windows reviews will be focused on each of their window models. NT makes a range of options with some being much nicer than others. The reviews will include the following models:
- Executive / 700 Series
- Presidential / 900 Series
- Solar Pro
- 8000 Series
Why should you avoid NT windows?
Readers of the site will know that I routinely suggest you should avoid working with smaller manufacturers. The reason is that these smaller companies can make great brochures and perfectly nice windows. Then one day they could just vanish into thin air. That leaves you, and all of their customers, with no warranty, no access to parts, etc.
It’s just my humble opinion, but I don’t think you should take that gamble. I think people routinely undervalue the risk associated with these smaller manufacturers.
That’s not to say they’re about to go out of business and I don’t have any inside info on NT windows in that regard. I’m just saying that without a good reason to take a gamble on a small manufacturer I would stick with a larger national type of company. There’s just no reason to take the risk associated with a small manufacturer.
How efficient are NT Windows?
Here you can see a chart of the efficiency ratings for the NT Presidential windows.
The ratings shown in the chart above are perfectly decent but not at all remarkable. Basically every manufacturer will offer windows with ratings like these. Many vinyl window manufacturers will offer options that are more efficient as well.
For example the best (lowest) U-Factor in the chart above is 0.23 which is not so great. To compare, the triple pane windows that my company offers in Dallas will have a U-Factor of 0.21. Remember lower is better when it comes to U-Factors.
So, the efficiency ratings of these NT windows are perfectly fine, but nothing special.
Is the NT Windows warranty any good?
It’s pretty typical for a vinyl window manufacturer. I know the salesman may have told you that NT windows offers the best warranty around. You can be confident every salesman says that about every window model out there.
NT windows says they offer a lifetime warranty that is transferable. While that’s true the devil is in the details when it comes to window warranties. For example, if you rent your house they only offer a 10 year warranty. The warranty is also only transferable in the first 10 years, after that you’re out of luck.
There are a few other warranty limitations to be aware of. For example, the warranty on exterior colors is only 15 years and glass breakage isn’t covered past 90 days unless your dealer buys the additional glass breakage warranty.
None of these warranty limitations are a particularly huge deal, but you’ll want to be aware of them. We routinely hear from folks who bought windows a while back and now they’re all upset about something not being covered by the warranty. It’s your responsibility to understand the warranty when you buy something so you’re not disappointed later.
What colors are available for NT windows?
Here you can see the available exterior colors for the NT Presidential windows. They do offer a very wide range of exterior color options. You’ll want to be aware that adding an exterior color to your order increases the cost and there are warranty limitations.
What’s the bottom line?
NT makes perfectly fine windows, but my advice is to work with a larger manufacturer. There’s nothing unique about the products in these NT windows reviews so I don’t see why you should take the gamble.

How can you find a great window company?
When shopping for windows I do always suggest finding a great installation company before you fall in love with any particular window model. There are plenty of great window options out there but not as many local companies that are great to work with.
To know which companies to avoid you can find common window sales tactics here. That’s become one of the most popular sections on the site.
Remember, for more great window company info you can find our suggestions for the best local companies in 2023 right here. Whether you’re in North Texas or around the country we can probably help with a recommendation.
There’s no need to work with a company that gives you the run-around or makes the process difficult. There are plenty of fish in the sea as they say. The best way to get started is to check out our list of great window companies here.
